He was primed to be the biggest star of the new wave era before he disappeared almost 25 years ago. Sid Luscious was certainly one of the most influential: Billy Idol, Blondie and A Flock of Seagulls are just some of the acts that paid homage to him or blatantly ripped him off. Well, that's the story, anyway. There may be some other explanation why, for instance, a Luscious composition titled "Police Cars'' sounds like a pastiche of songs by the Police and the Cars. Explore the mystery yourself when Sid Luscious and the Pants return to play two shows this week.It sorta sounds like they don't believe us. Oh well.
